The downtown building, and the one that is not
The Sixth Judicial Circuit covers Pinellas County. Its St. Petersburg Judicial Building is at 545 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The circuit describes that building on jud6.org. The main criminal courthouse for the county is not this downtown civil building. Check the circuit site for which division you need before you travel.
Clearwater has the other main Pinellas court buildings. If the crash was in St. Petersburg but a filing is assigned elsewhere in the county, the clerk can tell you which counter to use.
Roads, without calling them crash corridors
I-275 crosses the bay between St. Petersburg and Tampa. US 19 runs north through Pinellas. Those are geographic landmarks so you can say where a crash happened. This page does not cite a crash study for either road, so it does not call them high-crash corridors.
Downtown St. Petersburg also has short blocks and crosswalks. A pedestrian or bicycle crash is described on the accident-type pages linked below. Nothing on this page says a driver or a person on foot was at fault.
Questions
Where do I file a St. Petersburg civil case?
The St. Petersburg Judicial Building is at 545 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Confirm the division on the Sixth Circuit website. The main criminal facility is a different building.
Is US 19 a high-crash corridor on this page?
No. US 19 and I-275 are named only as roads people use to describe a location. This page does not cite a crash-rate study for them.
Which police agency might have the report?
St. Petersburg Police often investigate crashes inside the city. The Pinellas County Sheriff or Florida Highway Patrol may have a report on a county or state road. The form still works if you are waiting on a copy.
